Just drag the loop/sample to the playlist, I don't ever use the pattern section at the bottom, I do everything in the playlist, when you want to add another sound for example a drum loop or synth loop you will notice it automatically adds a nother channel in the step sequencer.
2. Edison in FL Studio. This can be added by going to the mixer and assigning edison to a plug-in slot. Once you have done that Edison will load. After Edison is loaded pull your loop into it by dragging and dropping from windows explorer. From the tools menu you will then notice an option to convert it to a score.

(I'm new to FL Studio, but I already looked up many videos and kind of know how to handle it.) Now, I am very frustrated. I can't figure out how to chop a specific location and loop it to make a beat of it. I have seen many videos where people use different methods, and still it doesn't really work for me. I wanted to take [Darondo's 'Didn't I' ] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZqQT5904_U) (until 0:19) and make a beat like Cro did. Shouldn't be too difficult right? nope, as I noticed, it's harder than it looks..

I hope you can help me or link me to a good and easy explained video on how to chop a song to take a sample because I really don't want to quit even though it hasn't really started.

How do you tune it?
How do you change the pitch?

If I know that sample is in A, and in settings I put A as main instead C, that worked in FL Studio 11.
Until now I did not tried this in FL Studio 12, now I did, and I noticed on samples if you go lower notes instead pitch change its changing tempo of sample.
