For a time, Original Sin was topping the charts and amassing a huge following. How to loop sound in after effects. And then the workshop dropped, and I braced myself, knowing that in the months to come I could expect a trickle, and then a torrent of new scenarios and even campaigns.
That's not what happened at all, though. As of this writing there are 23 items in the OS workshop — total. Compare that to Skyrim's whopping ~24000, or even Age of Empires II's more modest 5784.
The first thing everyone's going to point out is the amount of effort involved in making a campaign. Is that really it though? Is that the only reason why? Because I think about all of the creative mods in Skyrim and Europa Universalis IV and it just occurs to me that those must have taken hours upon hours to make too.
This seemed like the perfect opportunity for dungeon masters and storytellers. I just don't understand what went so wrong.
